Job Summary:
The Commercial HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and split systems
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding system issues and recommended solutions
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies
- Respond to emergency service calls as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman HVAC License (required)
- Proven experience servicing commercial HVAC systems
- Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical systems, and refrigeration cycles
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues
- EPA Certification (Universal preferred or required based on local regulations)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
